  • University of Perpignan (France) - The leader project
Founded in 1350, the University of Perpignan is a medium sized, multidisciplinary and dynamic campus. 9500 students follow courses in a broad range of areas: languages, humanities, law, management, sciences, sport, tourism. UPVD has been recognized for its excellence in the fields of renewable energy and humanities. The offer of study programmes is supported by a dynamic, internationally involved research based on the association of its 16 laboratories.
UPVD is known as a university with high international visibility. By its participation in numerous European & multilateral projects, it has acquired a real know-how in implementation and management of international cooperations.

  • University of Balearic Islands (Spain)
The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) was founded in 1978. It has c. 14,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. In recent years, the UIB has built a great reputation as a research university, and collaborates with a solid network of higher education institutions and research centres worldwide. Consequently, the UIB currently stands among the top Spanish universities in research rankings such as SCImago or the ISSUE Spanish ranking, and it also has a significant economic impact on the Balearic Islands. The UIB’s main campus is located North of the city of Palma de Mallorca, at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and a short drive away from the island’s finest beaches. It is also easily accessible from Palma de Mallorca’s international airport, which offers direct flights to Spain’s mainland and destinations all throughout Europe.

  • Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy)
Established in 1868 as a Royal Business College, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE) was the second educational institution in Europe to offer higher education in business and economics.
UNIVE now offers 4 main subject areas of teaching and research: economics and management, languages, humanities and sciences, with 23 BA and 38 MA, 38 Professional MA and 15 PhD Programmes. It has 20,000 students and 1,200 professors, lecturers and administrative staff.
UNIVE actively cooperates with universities from EU and all over the world in many European projects promoting education, mobility, research and training and has signed hundreds of international bilateral agreements.

  • University of Girona (Spain)
The Universitat de Girona is a higher education public institution devoted to the progress of society by excelling in teaching and research. UdG is deeply rooted in Catalonia and its culture and stands as an economic and cultural motor. UdG offers 44 bachelor and 40 master’s degrees in many areas: Sciences, Law, Business and Economics, Tourism, Education and Psychology, Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Architecture, Medicine and Nursing.   • University of Andorra (Andorra)
The University of Andorra (UdA) is the only public university in the Principality of Andorra. Throughout its 30-year history, it has grown in training and research at a sustainable rate, and it now offers academic degrees at all three university levels. The majority of the qualifications offered are first cycle (180 European credits), mainly in the fields of technology, business, health and education. All taught degrees are adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) framework and recognized by participating countries.   • Cerdagne hospital (Spain) and Pôle Sanitaire Cerdan (France)

The history of the Hospital of Cerdanya germinated in the minds in the late 1990s given the need to improve the hospital infrastructure of southern Cerdanya and to provide the people of northern Cerdanya and the Capcir valley with acute-care hospital services. Cerdanya is an isolated mountain plateau, located at 1200 meters altitude and divided between two countries are France and Spain. It has emerged as the ideal geographic area to allow cooperation between the two countries.



  • UNIMED (Mediterranean Universities Union)

UNIMED, the Mediterranean Universities Union, founded in October 1991 by Prof. Franco Rizzi, is an association of Universities from the countries of the Mediterranean basin. It counts 118 Universities coming from 23 countries of both shores of Mediterranean (data updated to February 2019). UNIMED’s aim is to develop research and education in the Euro-Mediterranean area in order to contribute to scientific, cultural, social and economic cooperation. UNIMED acts in different scientific fields. The image that better represents our association is that of a University Without Walls.
